So here I am 25 days into 2018 and Im already comparing it to 2017. I think to be honest we are all a little guilty of doing this every year. For me though 2017 was great. I have so many great memories of a year that started off pretty shitty. At the start of the year I was down and I was seeing a counsellor who may I add helped me big time.
As the year progressed I had some massive events taking place. From Hen Party's and Stag Do's to two weddings in one weekend, February, March and April were hectic. Im glad to say May was a lovely quiet month. I needed it to recover. But in June I was off to Dublin to see the amazing Mr Robbie Williams in concert and man he didn't disappoint.
Into July I experienced the concert of a lifetime. I had managed to get my paws on a ticket to Coldplay in Croke.
To be standing so close to the stage and right in the middle of the confetti and balloons I was able to fully experience the concert of a lifetime.
Later that week me and a friend managed to see Bryan Adams in concert. He is wonderful live I never would have imagined seeing him in concert before, but Im so glad Shirley wangled us in.
August came and with it came Pride. If you are reading this and have not experienced Pride in Cork you are missing out. Listen you don't need to be LGBQT to enjoy this colourful and love filled day. You can come down and soak up the Pride atmosphere. Even on a dull windy wet day we managed to bring some colour to the streets of Cork. And one thing I took away from this years pride was a new bunch of friends.
September came and went and nothing really big happened. First time for months. But in October I had to say goodbye to my uncle who sadly passed. He will be missed by us all.
November came and I celebrated my 33rd birthday. Not feeling old at all (sad face). But we celebrated it in style and had an almighty drink filled weekend. I still remember the hangover. I literally thought I was going to have to book a bed in A&E. The following week I received my hair system and completely transformed my look and my confidence. I can say I have never looked back. I feel like a new person.
December was full of drink and celebrations. As well as Christmas. Not to forget that amazing wedding of Brenda and Donie. What a great night and an amazing way to close off 2017.
2018 is here and already it's kicking 2017's ass. 2 weeks ago a group of us booked a holiday to New York which we leave for next week. I have another wedding in August to attend and I have the brides hen party in Marbella to look forward to. Towards the end of the year I will be ticking off a major item on my bucket list and visit San Francisco and L.A... So 2018 lets do this!!!
I have included some photos that highlight my year below. I hope you enjoy them.
